Using your FS1 meter for the first time?

The following information shows you how easy it is to manually enter the required information.

Looking at the meter, you will see several numbers on the screen.

1) First set your longitude and latitude. See the numbers at the bottom of the screen marked by LONG: and LAT:. You can find your longitude and latitude on our SatFinder page or on Maps of World. Using the Option/Local key, move the cursor to the channel number on the bottom right of the screen. Hold the "0" key for 3 seconds and the cursor will move to the LONG: allowing you to enter your longitude. Press the Option/Local key to move to the LAT: setting. Once both are set, press and hold the "0" key for 3 seconds to save it and exit. You can find detailed instructions on page 9 of the manual.

2) Now fill in the remaining parameters. You can find the information you need at Lyngsat. Learn how to read these charts.
You can also find some extensive lists at DMS International.

L: is Satellite Longitude
F: is Transponder Frequency
SR: is Symbol Rate
LO: is Local Oscillator Frequency of your LNBF
LNB: is the polarity determined by 13 or 18 volts
22KHz: is for setting the LO frequency in universal LNBFs.

Once everything is properly set, you can press the Save/C key to save it.

3) Now you are ready to find the signal. Make sure your cursor is in the channel number box (bottom left). Press any number key to activate the signal test mode. Start swinging your dish in the direction of the satellite. As you get close to it you will hear a tone from the meter and Strength and Quality measurements will start to show. Move the dish slowly right or left and up or down to maximize the signal. Once the signal is as high as you can get it, carefully tighten your dish.
The First Strike FS1 meter also has 227 satellites from around the world preloaded. See page 13 of your users manual for information on how you can easily use these preloaded settings.

What is it? It is the best low cost meter we've ever sold. The FS1 meter is easy to understand and use. There are no complicated menus to learn. It has all settings on one menu making it fast and easy to enter any transponder you need and save it for future use. The FS1 features two data bases. The global data base has room for 300 satellites and currently holds 227 satellites from around the world. The user data base can hold up to 100 satellites and makes it very easy for the user to customize the meter for personal use. Global satellite settings can be easily moved to the User data base. The user data base shows only the satellites that are programmed into it. So if you normally use only 3 satellites it makes it very fast and easy to use. You will only see the satellites you choose to see.

FS1 has quickly become or biggest seller.
